L. Melvin Cooper, CPA  Advisory Board Member

L. Melvin (Mel) Cooper, as a member of the IIBEX Advisory Board of Directors contributes a senior level background in operations, manufacturing, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt planning, and business plan development and execution. Mr. Cooper demonstrates an ability to ferret out and pinpoint the weaknesses and strengths of each organization with which he has been associated, both public and private.

From 1999 to the present Mr. Cooper has held the positions of Chief Financial Officer of Nationwide Graphics, Inc. then President of Cerqa, its flagship division. Nationwide Graphics is a Houston, Texas based, manufacturing company with eighteen locations nationwide.

From 1997 to 1999 Mr. Cooper served in a consultant role as Chief Financial Officer of Brittain Communications International Corporation, Houston, Texas throughout a turnaround and the subsequent sale of the company. Mr. Cooper developed and implemented a focused business plan that identified low margin and unprofitable operational regions of this national long distance company resulting in increased cash flow of approximately $4 million per year.

In 1996 and 1997 Mr. Cooper was President and Chief Operating Officer of publicly traded ImmuDyne, Inc. In twelve months Mr. Cooper increased their customer revenue base by 100% in this nutritional supplement company with international operations.

Mr. Cooper’s professional career began in 1977 at the Sparkman group of companies in Corpus Christi, Texas. He has held various senior financial and operational positions at The Resource Group and Southern Holdings, Inc., both of New Orleans, Louisiana and Aqua Natural Company, Houston, Texas.

Mr. Cooper is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the Texas A & M System.
